[Special Economy=Eunji Kim]At the Saenuri party's Supreme Council held everyday, what catches attention is the statement written at the backboard behind where members sit and speak about current matters.

It says “Saenuri’s reform”—a remark which upholds the party’s value and emphasizes what kind of righteous path the faction’s politicians should walk toward.

However, during Monday’s meeting, that writing noticeably disappeared, leaving nothing but a red background screen.

Although Saenuri Chairperson Rep. Kim Moo-sung was the one to chair this session, he did not make one public statement—an action that is also noteworthy.

Rep. Kim’s move and the disappearance of the statement symbolize the politician’s discontent over what is causing a fire-storm in the political world, the issue of what kind of nomination rule should be implemented for the approaching 20th legislative elections.

“As of now, I judged that there was no message [so took the note down], ” he said to reporters.

According to Rep. Kim, he doesn't see Saenuri Rep. Lee Han-koo’s push for “priority recommendation system” as a kind of reform, hence bringing down the message from the backboard.

“To do political reform, we confirmed for the need for an open primary, but currently, the nomination supervisory committee is not going that way,” he said.

The absence of the message in the backboard has intensified the battle over nomination rules and Rep. Kim’s plea is getting louder.
